The first candle of Advent has been lit, the Candle of Hope.
Dense fog, a light SW breeze and 31 degrees.Yesterday's temperatures hovering around freezing messed with my weather station rain gauge. The weather almanac says .73 inch. Sunny Wednesday with a WNW breeze, a high of 25 and a low of 14. Partly cloudy Thursday with a light WSW breeze, a high of 31 and a low of 20. Snow showers Friday morning with a brisk NW breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 10. Sunny Saturday with a WNW breeze, a high of 19 and a low of 12. Partly cloudy Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 26 and a low of 14. Mostly sunny next Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 24 and a low of 16. Pleasant next Tuesday and Wednesday with NW breezes, highs about 29 and lows about 15. Warming up to 34 Thursday, the 13th with rain/snow showers forecast for Friday, the 14th and the weekend.
Darel had a pleasant day yesterday with Sunday School and church in the morning and foot ball in the afternoon. A slow and careful ride home from church. Gilbert had to get a ladder and pour water over the Dish so Darel's TV signal would come in.
It was so unpleasant out that the last nativity isn't up. I quickly got wet the few times i was out cleaning away slush. The sump pump was running so steady i belied the gauge when it read over an inch. I questioned it as it got closer to two inches.
I put candles in the windows and cleaned the refrigerator. That took longer than I expected so I didn't get coolies made. So they are first on the agenda this morning, then putting up the nativity.. I'll put up the windbreak trees for the birds with Christmas lights and a star on them for me.
Have a good day, Sally
