We had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. 2 year old Ayden was so excited watching Santa walk towards the house. But when Santa opened the door he took off running in the other direction. How Santa laughed at the grownups laughing, he could remember them doing the same thing. Darel and i were Blessed to watch another generation, our great grandchildren, become Mary, Joseph, shepherds and angels why our grown up grandchildren lit the Advent candles, read scriptures and sang. In the evening we went to the Christmas Eve service at church.
Just as we were going to bed a young man rolled his car onto the neighbor's lawn. His injuries are serious but not life threatening. A late night for us. I got up late and Darel is still asleep. An even later one for the EMT's and other caregivers who left their warm homes on Christmas Eve to care for a stranger!
We used to go to each of our son's homes o Christmas Day but we won't this year. It is too hard for Darel to get into their houses. I'll spend the day putting the house to rights. Tomorrow starts the new greenhouse year. I'll be slipping scented geraniums and peppermint. A lot of people like to put pots of mints and scented geraniums around their picnic table or patio to deter bugs. Eight weeks from today my first shipment of plugs and cuttings arrives.
Have a wonderful Christmas Day. Sally
