11/8/18
Don't let yesterday's failures ruin the beauty of today.  Each day has its promise of love, joy and forgiveness.

WNW breeze, a few clouds and 44 degrees.  Partly cloudy today with a stiff west breeze, a high of 48 and a low of 33 tonight.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a light NNE breeze, a high of 45.  Rain tomorrow night with an ENE wind and a low of 35.  Light rain Saturday morning with a strong west breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 27.  Sunny Sunday with a WNW wind bringing in winter like weather with a high of 33 and a low of 19.  Sunny Monday with a WNW breeze, a high of 34 and a low of 21.  Rain/snow Tuesday with a strong east breeze, a high of 38, a low of 30.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a WNW wind, a high of 32 and a low of 20.  Sunny next Thursday with a strong WNW breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 19.  Pleasant next Friday and Saturday with WNW breezes, highs of 32 and lows of 22.  Lots of snow showers the week of the 18th with highs in the mid thirties and lows in the mid twenties.
Darel had a pleasant day yesterday with lunch at the church and a few hours sitting in the field hoping a deer would come out.
I got the last few hoses up.  I had believed the forecast and was just waiting for the warm temperature.  I also had waited until frost killed some of the weeds and grass making them easier to pull up.  Another hose and real couldn't go in until the wood was in.
The garage is ready for the first ton of pellets.  A few days earlier than I though we would be getting them.  I am so thankful for the pellet stove, Darel needs a very warm room to be comfortable.  As warm as this month has been we've run the stove a lot.  It is easy to start if he gets chilly.
Last night I culled some old hens and moved the rest in with the pullets.  They are all set up for winter now.  The old hens will go in the compost pile.  i have saved some planters to empty over them.  Today I'll pull the tomato vines and put them in the compost pile.  All this rain has made the garden to wet to til for garlic.  So the garlic is going to get planted where I pull the tomatoes out.  Extra work and not what i would choose to do but sometimes weather dictates how things get done.  We needed the rain and we have blessed with warm weather for November.
     Have a good day, Sally
