Darel was comfortable yesterday.  He slept a lot as his pulse was going from high to low and back again.  We did go sit up in the field late afternoon in hopes a buck would come out.
So proud of Rachael and happy for her.  She got her letter of acceptance with a $4000.00 a year scholarship for the marine biology program at the University of Machias.  She had be told she was accepted but couldn't believe it until the letter was in her hand.
Yesterday I got most of the cardboard and hay mulch down for the sunflower patch that is going to replace the burdock patch.  i had to pull some old ground cover, clear some rocks and other junk out.  This winter the earthworms will get the soil ready for me to cut holes in the cardboard and put in sunflower plants.
Finally a day with no wind, I got the plastic on the back of the house.  Lil Andrew came down after work and packed hay bales against it.  Thanks to the time change he did it with head lights and me holding the flashlight.  But I do like the earlier sun rise.  I am so glad to have that north side of the house all ready for winter!
Lots on the to do list for a rainy day.  After we vote.  I have a doctor's appointment to get my back straightened out this afternoon so no hunting today for Darel.  Enjoy your day, Sally
