Another good day for Darel.  No hunting but that was fine, we went to the ban supper at church.  Sunday School and church this morning, than out to dinner with Andrew and Gayle.
I got everything on my list done!  I was doing the last thing, taking the soil out of the old washing machine i put petunias in, by flashlight when we got home from the bean supper.  I wasn't a very pleasant day but it never rained very hard.  i was thankful for another day without freezing.  our Brussel sprouts are in the garage, the chicken's sprout are stacked in the barn.  Due to the dry summer the sprouts aren't as large as usual but they are tender and good.
I also filled the bird feeder by flashlight.  A flock of evening grosbeak came by in the afternoon and emptied them.  Luck had it that Darel was at the sink filling his water bottle when they came so he could watch them for a bit.  I will try to find time today to set up the heated waterer.
Looking forward to a good day, i hope yours is good too.  Sally
