Tuesday into Wednesday morning  a low pressure will give us moisture that may contain the remains of Florence.  Showers or rain??  A brisk SSE breeze Tuesday with a high of 73 and a low of 58.  A brisk NW breeze Wednesday with a high of 72 and 47.  Fall temperatures start next Thursday with highs in the sixties and lows in the forties.  Partly cloudy Thursday with a NW breeze, a high of 65 and a low of 45.  Showers Friday, the 27th and Saturday with Partly cloudy skies Sunday.  Many showers the week of the 24th with highs about 64 and lows about 46.
Darel had a good day yesterday but was more than ready to get out and go to the Creamery last night.
Like many others Florence is on our mind.  We have family and friends who have evacuated and family who feel they are well prepared and far enough from the dangerous zone to ride it out.  Prayers with and and with the linemen and others involved in the cleanup and repair.  As they worry about flooding we are hoping there is enough moisture left in Florence when she gets here to give us a good soaking.  Gordon gave us a couple days reprieve from watering, today we'll get back to seeing if any plants are drying out.  the warm temperatures will bring out the blooms on the mums, the cool forecast says we will enjoy them for weeks.
I picked some cucumbers yesterday.  They taste good but they aren't pretty anymore.  Today we'll pick tomatoes, peppers and winter squash.  And dig the last row of potatoes.  I won't run out, Heather has plenty.  Hers are organically grown too.
   Have a good day, Sally
