Darel has missed going to Countryside, insisting he was doing well enough to go.  Last night after three very good days I said ok.  After enjoying pleasant conversation and a good meal he could not get to his feet.  An angel in the form of a strong young man came from the kitchen.  With considerable effort he and I helped Darel to his feet.  Back to the rule that if we go out to eat it is when one of our sons or grandsons go with us.
All the fruit trees and shrubs that came in are potted up.  People knew the trees were in or saw us potting them so several fruit trees sold already, including all the cherry trees.  Last year was the first year we got a lot of cherries off our tree.  Everyone who got to eat some bought a cherry tree.  So did everyone they told about the cherries.  Some of trees we didn't even get potted up!
Cabbage. broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower were potted up.  I have mini broccoli this year.  A broccoli with small, extra sweet, tender heads for stir fries, and eating raw.  I have regular broccoli too.  Now we are transplanting more flowers.  Next week we'll transplant more cole crops and start cucumber, squash and pumpkin plants.
We are open today and will be busy putting flowers out.  Enjoy your day, Sally
