Darel is doing well even though after several "uneventful" days the "events" have returned.  They leave him tired even though he doesn't know when they occur.  Yesterday was a good day.  Andrew and Gayle were here for awhile, it is so nice to have them home.  Late afternoon we made a fried chicken run.  I ordered business cards and we got some niger seed for the finches. The snow has settled enough for me to get to the feeders instead of just throwing sunflower seeds on the snow.  The finches were so happy to see their socks full.  So many finches were on the sock you couldn't tell a sock was there.
We put the hose out for good.  There are a few nights coming up that we'll have to let it run quite a bit but it is worth it to have water all the time and not to be spending time putting the hose out and back in.  With so many different plants in the greenhouse they don't all dry out at the same time.  I need to water in both the greenhouse and the house today.
I have a stack of 600's, the pots my perennials go in, coming Monday with the bales of soil.  i can't get to our perennial pots yet.  Monday we'll start
transplanting perennials into the big pots.  Judging by the forecast by the time we use up that stack I should be able to get to the pot storage area.  We'll just line them up under the benches for now.  It looks like we'll be moving into the cold frames right on schedule.
       have a good day, Sally
