I can't remember when i got eight hours of sleep. I even slept through the thunderstorm. I'm told the thunder was close and loud with torrential rain. Rain hard enough to knock the raspberries to the ground. Rachael doesn't usually work Saturdays but I'd asked her to work for awhile this morning so i could pick raspberries. And Doug took a chance on the forecast of light showers mostly south of Newport forecast and mowed hay. that was still the forecast last night. At least the weather is good for Bradford Days. Darel has done so well going out in the wheelchair he wants to go to the fireworks tonight. Bradford's fireworks rive the big city shows. We've always gone, its been it a family thing. We are going to try it.
Parking so that we have a clear shot out if he decides he is too tired to stay any longer.
Yesterday we dug baby red potatoes and picked yellow squash and zucchini to sell on the stand. This rain will help the potatoes. Next week's heat should bring on the cucumbers.
The rain will also help the flowers I'm still planting.
Even though I'm getting a slow start I'm expecting today to be a good day. I hope yours is too. Sally
