It was 34 all day yesterday---and snowed all day. we got a couple inches of very wet snow. It was 32 all night so why it never froze it hasn't melted. I did get the hose out. Since it was chilly a couple of the short connecting hoses cracked and I had to make new ones. But we do having running water in the greenhouse all the time now.
Every finch in the country was here feeding, gold finches, purple finches and pine siskins. Thee was a cloud of birds when you looked out the kitchen window. They only moved out of the way when I filled the feeders, usually they fly away. Even the cardinals just ducked into the Christmas trees. The snow was so wet and sticky the icy paths weren't slippery.
We set up the table for plants in the get-together room. Plants are about to take over the house. I don't know what to think of the forecast. It certainly looks like we will be able to move into the hoop house and cold frames when the greenhouse gets too crowed. Usually the weather calls the shots, not the plants.
Enjoy your day, Sally
