Darel spent quite a bit of time in his chair at the greenhouse with his winter jacket on and a blanket over his lap. No black flies!  I had to  get diesel In the evening. There are advantages to being an old lady.  A very thoughtful truck driver filled my diesel cans why his truck was filling.  Darel and I  shared a large seafood platter from Countryside, my idea this time.  It was another long busy weekend.  I watered and waited on customers.  I did stop for virtual church.
Last night I saw something I’ve never seen.  There was a swarm of hummingbirds.  to say there was more than fifty is no exaggeration.  They drained 3 full feeders in the half hour before dusk.  This morning there are a lot of them at the refilled feeders but nothing like last night.  The oriole is under the finch feeder looking for spilled finch seed or for bugs in the seed?
I ran the heaters last night.  we didn’t get a frost but many people did.  It was 25 in Dover this morning.  I’m sure there are some discouraged people.  There was lots of warning to cover plants.  I’m sure Tammara got a frost.
I’ll be watering, planting and mulching today.  Sally Jo is going to come over for awhile so i can work behind the house.  Tammara and Debbie will both be here but they will be planting.
      Have a good day, Sally
