8/16/18
For a happy heart begin each day with optimism and end each day with thankfulness.

A thunderstorm gave us .99 inches of rain last night.  Partly cloudy now with a gentle SW breeze and 64 degrees.  Sunny today with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 54.  PM showers tomorrow with a south breeze, a high of 78 and a low of 63.  Morning showers Saturday with a stiff NNE breeze,  a high of 72 and a low of 57.  Sunny Sunday with a NE breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 54.  Mostly sunny Monday with a light SE breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 53.  Sunny Tuesday with a SSE breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 60.  Showers Wednesday with a brisk south breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 61.  Partly cloudy next Thursday with a WNW breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 56.  Pleasant next Friday and next weekend with highs about 80.  Scattered thunderstorms to start the week of the 27th.
Darel was slower yesterday with low numbers but he had a very nice day.  Doug took him to deliver fencepost for a fencing job and they wound up at Nicki's enjoying a seafood platter for lunch.
No watering today!  Maybe?  Looking out the window i can see that we have lots of laid over pots.  As we right those plants up we may have to water them.  I had set the soaker hose up to turn on at five when i got up.  didn't need to do that.
The first basket of tomatoes went on the stand yesterday.  They are gone already.  Heather is bringing out more tomorrow.  Green beans are done unless we get a second crop.  August is half gone and I think the second round of swallows went with it.  There were none lined up on the wires this morning.
My new printer is installed.  the old one died right after i bought a supply of ink.  Changes in technology, a very good sale on a printer, and Staples willingness to give me credit for the ink bought me a new printer, two extra ink cartridges and I got a $1.89 back!
It is so wet out that a thick haze has moved in, so thick it has given us another hundredth of moisture giving us exactly an inch.  Bright sun is burning it off.  I'm expecting a beautiful day, hoping yours is too.  Sally
